Aptitude Test 2026 – University of the Visual & Performing Arts (UVPA)

The University of the Visual and Performing Arts invites applications from 26.04.2026 to 11.05.2026 for the Aptitude Test required for admission to the degree programs mentioned above.
Candidates must have fulfilled the minimum entry requirements specified in the University Admissions Handbook issued by the University Grants Commission for the Academic Year
2025/2026. Please note that all degree programmes and the corresponding Aptitude Tests will be conducted only in the Sinhala medium.

Entry Requirements :

Candidates must have obtained the following results in the three subjects at the G.C.E. (Advanced Level) Examination:

• At least two (2) Ordinary Passes (S) in any two subjects, and
• At least a Credit Pass (C) in the subject they intend to follow (Music, Dance, Drama & Theatre, Art & Sculpture)

This condition does not apply to candidates who have applied for re-scrutiny of the 2025 examination results or whose results have been withheld.

All candidates must apply separately for university admission to the University Grants Commission for the academic year 2025/2026 in addition to applying for the aptitude test
conducted by the University of the Visual and Performing Arts.

How to submit an application :

• Visit the official University website: www.vpa.ac.lk
  Navigate to the “Aptitude Test – 2025/2026” section and submit the application online.

Method of Payment :

• Aptitude test fee of Rs. 2,000/- per course should be paid in favour of the University of the Visual and Performing Arts bearing the account number 84072227 at the Independent Square
  Branch ofthe Bank of Ceylon, Colombo 07. Payment can be made at any branch of the Bank of Ceylon. Candidates must mention their Full Name and National Identity Card Number in the
  bank slip when making the payment. Payments through Cash Deposit Machines (CDM) are not accepted.
• Candidates who sat for two aesthetic subjects at the G.C.E. A/L Examination 2025 and wish to apply for both subjects in the aptitude test must submit separate application forms and make
  separate payments for each subject.
• The originals of the following documents must be kept with the candidate to submit to the University in future date if requested; (i) the bank payment receipt (ii) the National Identity
  Card, (iii) a passport size photograph of the candidate in blue background taken within six months from the date of application (iv) the G.C.E. A/L – 2025 result sheet.
• Incomplete or applications with false information and late applications will be rejected. In such cases, the payment made by the candidate will not be refunded.
• Details regarding obtaining the admission Card will be informed to the email address provided in the application form.
