Candidate Criteria :
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams within the IT department and other related departments.
- Should possess strategic thinking, decision-making, and team management skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks, such as ISO 27001 and PCI DSS, is advantageous.
- Vendor-specific certifications, such as Red Hat, VMware, or IBM, are a plus.
- Exposure to DevOps culture and continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) tools.
- In-depth understanding of capacity planning, disaster recovery, and high-availability architectures.
- Solid background in virtualisation (VMware) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure, including computers, storage, and network domains.
- Hands-on experience in managing systems on Unix, Linux, and Windows platforms.
- A minimum of 08-05 years of proven managerial experience in enterprise IT infrastructure, preferably within the banking or financial sector.
- Possession of a Master’s degree in IT is an added advantage.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field from a recognised university or institute is essential.
Key Responsibilities :
- Engage with senior leadership to align IT infrastructure strategy with organisational goals
- Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of staff in the IT infrastructure unit, building a high-performance team
- Lead IT budgeting, cost control, and long-term forecasting to meet evolving business needs.
- Establish and implement infrastructure policies, governance, and security standards; integrate mobile and BYOD securely.
- Manage facilities IT (cabling, access points, surveillance), and ensure DR/BCP readiness.
- Streamline operations through automation using different recommended industrial technologies.
- Ensure compliance with security standards, audits, disaster recovery protocols, regulatory and cybersecurity requirements.
- Engage vendor relationships, SLA enforcement, procurement, and contract management.
- Lead the functions such as patching, system security, and risk mitigation processes.
- Manage observability and performance monitoring with tools.
- Manage and monitor virtualisation container ecosystems (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud services.
- Maintain systems operating on Red Hat, Windows, AIX, and Solaris.
- Engineer and administer enterprise infrastructure across on-premises and cloud (AWS, Azure) environments.
- Implement coordinated infrastructure initiatives that align with organisational priorities, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Lead and manage IT infrastructure teams (DevOps, Network, DBA, NOC, Infra) to maintain service uptime and system resilience.
