Calling for Applications – Open Competitive Examination for Recruitment to the Post of Engine Driver (Grade III) in the Sri Lanka Railway Department – 2025
QUALIFICATION:
- With award passes in 04 subjects including Language or Literature, Mathematics and Science. Having passed in 06 subjects at the same time in (Ordinary text) examination;
- G.E.C. (Higher Level) Examination in all subjects including pure Mathematics, Physics and one more Science subject simultaneously. (It is sufficient to have passed three (03) science subjects simultaneously under the old syllabus.).
- Having completed one of the following courses or a full-time diesel engine course at Ratmalana German Railway Technical Training Institute or a Government Technical College or a technical college under the National Apprenticeship and Training Authority. This course should be National Vocational Skills Level Six (06).
- (i) from University of Moratuwa or Hardi Institute in Ampara National Diploma in Technology offered by:
- (ii) National Diploma in Engineering awarded by the National Apprenticeship and Vocational Training Authority;
- (iii) National Advanced Diploma in Engineering awarded by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education;
- (iv) Technical Diploma awarded by Open University of Sri Lanka.
