Project Assistant – Ruhunu Tourist Bureau Job Vacancies 2026

Ruhunu Tourist Bureau invites applications for the post of Project Assistant. You can apply to it before closing date as per the following details. Closing date and other job details are given below.

Age :-

• Must be not less than 22 years of age and not more than 45 years of age. The maximum age limit does not apply to an internal applicant.

Qualifications :

External applicants – 

• In the General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Examination – Sinhala/Tamil, Mathematics
• Having passed 06 subjects simultaneously with credit passes in four (04) subjects including Sinhala & Mathematics.
• Must have passed at least three (03) subjects (excluding the common General test Examination) in the General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) Examination.
• The ability to work in English is considered an additional qualification.

Internal applicants – 

• Primary Grade – Non-skilled, Semi-skilled and Skilled Service Category Employees with the qualifications mentioned in b, c and e below can apply for this.
• In the General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Examination – Sinhala/Tamil, Mathematics
• Having passed 06 subjects simultaneously with Credit passes in four (04) subjects including Sinhala & Mathematics.
• Computer word processing/typing skills, completed a course recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission or other equivalent level of skills may be included as qualifications in relevant cases.
• Must hold permanent appointments in the service and must be confirmed in those appointments.
• Must have completed five years of continuous satisfactory service as a subordinate of a permanent appointment prior to the due date.

Other :-

• Must possess the physical and mental fitness required to properly perform the duties assigned to the position and to serve in any area of the Southern Province.
• Must be of excellent character
• Must be a permanent resident of the Southern Province for the previous 03 years.

Salary Scale :-

• Rs. 46,220 – 10×540 – 7×630 – 4×890 – 20×1190 – Rs. 83,390/=
