Applications for the Open Competitive Examination are being accepted by the Uva Provincial Council Public Service Commission in order to fill the position of Management Service Officer (MSO) Service Grade III.

Qualifications :

  • Be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
  • Be between 18 and 30 years of age as of 26 June 2026.
  • Be physically and mentally fit for service anywhere within the Uva Province.
  • Be of good character.
  • Possess the required educational qualifications.
  • Have resided continuously in the Uva Province for at least three years before the closing date.

Qualifications for Education :

  • G.C.E. A/L: Passed all subjects (except General Examination and General English) in the G.C.E. (A/L) Examination in one sitting.
  • G.C.E. O/L: Passed the G.C.E. O/L Examination in six (06) subjects at one sitting with credit passes in four (04) subjects, including Language (Sinhala / Tamil / English) and Mathematics.

Age :

  • As of the application deadline, candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 30.

Guidelines for the Test :

  • The Uva Provincial Council Public Service Commission will only provide an examination admit card online to candidates who have paid the applicable examination fee and accurately submitted the application form online on or before the deadline for accepting the application form.
  • Candidates must abide by the guidelines established by the Uva Provincial Council Public Service Commission concerning the administration of the test and the release of the results. The Uva Provincial Council Public Service Commission’s penalties for breaking the rules must be followed.
  • On the examination admit card, the applicants’ signatures must be attested. The head of the institution or an officer designated by him must attest the applicant’s signature if they applied for the exam through any government institution. A Principal of a Government School, a Grama Niladhari of the Division, a Justice of the Peace, a Commissioner of Oaths, a Notary Public, a Superintending Authorized Officer of the Tri-Forces, an Officer holding a gazette post in the Police Service, an Officer of the Permanent Staff Grade holding a permanent post in the Government or Provincial Public Service, the Head of a Buddhist Temple, the Head Monk, the Head of other religious places, or someone holding the status specified in the list of religious leaders should attest to the signatures of other applicants.

Finding the Candidate :

  • For every subject presenting in the examination hall, candidates must provide identification in a way that the examination hall’s in-charge deems acceptable. The following documents will be accepted as proof of the candidate’s identification.
  • National Identity Card
  • Valid Passport
  • Valid Sri Lankan Driving License
  • In order to verify their identity and prevent the use of electronic communication devices, candidates must enter the examination room without covering their faces or ears.
    Candidates will not be permitted to enter the exam room if they do not comply. Additionally, from the time they enter the test room until the exam is finished and they depart, candidates must keep their face and ears veiled.
