Department of Posts invites applications for the post of Driver. You can apply to it before closing date as per the following details. Closing date and other job details are given below.
Qualifications:
Educational Qualifications :
- Should have passed the G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) Examination in no more than two sittings, with six subjects including two credit passes.
Professional Qualifications :
- Must possess a Class D Driving License (Heavy Vehicles) issued by the Commissioner General of the Department of Motor Traffic .
Experience :
- Must have at least three years of experience in driving heavy vehicles under Class D, after obtaining the Class D (Heavy Vehicles) driving license, as at 25.07.2025. (Must be proved by
certificates presented at the interview.)
Physical Fitness :
- I. The applicantmust be not less than 5 feet 2]/2 inches (157 cm) in height.
- Every applicant must be physically and mentally fit to serve in any part of sri Lanka and to perform the duties of a driver during the day, at night, or at any time and must
also have good eyesight. (This must be confirmed by a formal medical certificate issued by the National Transport Medical Institute.)
