THE PROFILE OF THE APPLICANT :
- Leadership Skills:: Exceptional change management and team-building abilities. Strong understanding of banking regulations. Excellent communication skills to present to Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM), data warehousing, cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP), Data Mesh, and GenAI/RAG architectures.
- Experience: Minimum 10+ years in data management, data architecture, or business intelligence, with at least 5 years in senior leadership role. Proven experience in highly regulated Financial Services or Banking sector.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field. Master’s degree (MBA or MS) highly preferred. Degrees must be recognized by the University Grants Commission.
THE JOB PROFILE :
- This is a senior management role and reports directly to the Chief Information Officer(CIO).
- Data Culture & Literacy: Champion data-driven decision-making through training programs. Establish a Data & Analytics Center of Excellence to promote best practices and cross-functional collaboration.
- Compliance & Risk: Ensure compliance with BCBS 239, Banking Act Directions No. 16 of 2021, PDPA, and GDPR. Collaborate with Chief Information Security Office (CISO)/ Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to implement data privacy, access control, and security policies.
- Al-First Transformation: Drive the bank’s evolution into an Al-first institution through Open Banking APIs integration and deployment of “One Bank One Data” platform supporting Agentic Al and hyper-personalization at scale.
- Data Governance & Management: Ensure all data initiatives are processing and aligned with the established data governance evaluation and organizational standards. Oversee Master Data Management (MDM) to establish Golden Records for critical entities. Maintain centralized data dictionaries and business glossaries.
- Data Strategy & Vision: Develop a multi-year data strategy aligned with business objectives. Identify data monetization opportunities and partner with the Chief Information Officer (CIO) to implement appropriate data architecture, platforms (Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Cloud), and tools.
