Director – Colombo Port City Economic Commision Job Vacancies 2025

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide legal advice and support to the CPCEC on all legal and regulatory matters.
• Ensure compliance with the CPCEC Act and all relevant laws and regulations.
• Formulate, draft, and implement policies, regulations, and standards to govern the development and operations within Colombo Port City.
• Oversee all legal administrative functions, including contract review, litigation management, and legal research.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Attorney-at-Law with over 10 years of experience of a Senior Legal Position or similar capacity.
  (An applicant with less than 10 years’ experience will be considered if deemed to be an exceptionally strong candidate)

   

• Experience in Managing and In-depth knowledge of Sri Lankan law, with a strong emphasis on Commercial Law, Real Estate Law, Arbitration, Condominium Management Laws, and relevant areas.
• In-depth understanding of the CPCEC Act No. 11 of 2021 and its associated regulations.
• Extremely experienced in drafting and implementing subordinate legislation, rules, and procedures under primary legislation. Extremely articulate, analytical, and decisive, with excellent writing, negotiating, presentation and drafting skills.
• Proven track record of success in providing legal advice, support, and administration in a Senior Legal role.
